A friend only shows up when they’re bored

2 Simple Things

Avoid the friend who only talks to you when he is bored. Avoid that kind of friendship, or any relationship like it, because soon you become his entertainment. You don’t have to be someone’s entertainment. That is not a good relationship.

2

Stick closer to the one who finds time for you even when they are very busy. They may not have the looks, the money, the fame or the position — but they have time for you. Spend time with them. They are the ones who will stay till the end.

Unless they genuinely lost touch rather than lost interest. One honest conversation will tell you which it is.

Where this came from

The 2 Simple Things concept was first developed in 2022 as a set of short reels. You’ll find them on TikTok, Facebook and everywhere else I post.

Most of us walk past the same things every day — the hard question we keep avoiding, the honest answer we already know, the easy thing we’ve simply forgotten how to do. These are a nudge to look at them again.

And my hope for you, if you’ve read this far, is a small one. Life doesn’t have to be as complicated as we make it. Take two simple things at a time and it gets smoother — and the love we carry for the people around us grows with it.

That is the whole motive: to show love to others the way God has shown His love to us.
