When life feels most out of control, when we are pushed, exposed, and uncomfortable, that is rarely God being absent. It is often God being most intentional. The very things that disturb our peace are the things He uses to reveal what is still growing in us, and to gently reshape us into who He designed us to be.

We often look for God's work in clean, comfortable, prepared environments. But God doesn't wait for perfect conditions. The crowded train, the difficult office, the broken relationship, the exhausting situation, these are not interruptions to ministry. They are the ministry. When we choose love in the hardest moments, we step into the very work God had in mind all along.

Our lowest points feel final, like everything is over and nothing good can come from where we are. But God often does His greatest work in our worst moments. When we have nothing left to hold onto, we finally let go and let Him lead. What looks like an ending from where we stand is often the beginning of something we could not have planned for ourselves.

The moment that breaks us is rarely the end of our story. In fact, it is often the exact moment God uses to turn our lives in a direction we would never have chosen on our own. The pain is real, but so is the purpose behind it. God doesn't waste broken moments; He builds from them.

There are things in life we hold onto so tightly, a job, a relationship, a plan, a sense of security, that we slowly stop leaning on God and start leaning on those things instead. When God allows them to be removed, it feels like a loss. But He is not punishing us. He is redirecting our trust back to where it belongs. The emptiness we feel is often the space God is creating to fill with something better.

There are moments in life we do not plan for, and would avoid if we could, like disappointments, failures, awkward situations, losing someone, loss, hard conversations, exhausting journeys, moments where we react badly, and later we regret. We don’t choose those moments. But God is still present in them, and sometimes, we only recognize His love after we’re already there.
